Rock Point Land Use Plan l Burlington, Vermont
A mission statement and land use management plan were created for the Episcopalian Diocese of Vermont, owners of the rugged peninsula that embraces the north end of Burlington Bay in Lake Champlain. This environmentally sensitive and historically rich 75-acre property is visited year round by geologists, naturalists, school groups and local residents for its rich composition of unusual natural features and fascinating human history. The owners wish to protect it as a vital educational, recreational, and spiritual resource for the church and public communities. The land use plan provides guidance to the Diocese for maintaining and expanding a wide range of activities while preserving the unique history and rich natural communities.
